Chicago sampler

Had some friends in town and tried some new Chicago brews. Our unanimous favorite was the Pipeworks End of Days. It's a milk stout brewed with cacao nibs and some chili peppers. It started creamy and chocolatey then finished hot! I don't think I could drink two in one night, but splitting a bomber was great. I think the second place finisher was the Two Brothers Dog Days Dortmunder. It's a nice lager but we disagreed on whether it was crisp enough. The Metropolitan beers didn't leave much of an impression, which is an improvement because I remember them previously leaving a bad impression. The Chi Town has a nice label. 'nuff said. Trying some more tonight!
